"The first time I met Fabio Masi, the film’s director, we were having coffee with the production team.
I asked him, “Tell me about the film—what is it really about?”
I wasn’t interested in the screenplay—I would read that on my own—but I wanted to understand what this film truly meant to him.
I believe this is what matters most in creating a successful score. I have always thought that a film score is not about the images, but about the emotions they evoke.
Composing the score for this film was truly magical. I think it left me with so many emotions that I still haven’t fully processed them all!"
